Dread

Saturday BZ and I went shopping for our early Christmas present to each other...an entertainment center for the family room. We found one we liked and ordered it. The floor model was damaged and none in stock. The sales lady was going to run our card on Tuesday, today, in order to get the special of 24 months same as cash instead of 12 months.

Yesterday BZ and I went to another furniture store looking for a dining room table. We didn't find any of those we liked, but we did find an entertainment center we liked that was half the price of the one from Saturday.

We called the first furniture store to cancel the order, thinking since she wasn't going to run our card until the next day we'd be okay. She was NOT happy and wanted to know if we found one at a cheaper price. I fibbed and said, no, something unexpected came up financially and we just couldn't swing it.

She then told me that she didn't know if she could cancel it since she placed the order on Saturday. We are pissed.

We're both thinking the 3-day rule applies in this case. Plus, it wasn't even a full business day after the transaction.

The more BZ thought about it, he decided to put a hold on the credit card. It's that's furniture store's card. He reported it lost/stolen last night which of course cancels the account.

We definitely got a bad feeling from the sales lady. She did NOT seem very willing to help. What really gets me is she told us with the price of gas, they tend to wait for a fairly full load before they ship. It could be anywhere from two to four weeks before it was delivered.

Hello?? One day passed since you ordered it. I doubt very seriously it's already been loaded onto the truck.

Today should be an interesting day...especially if the lady tries to run the charge on the reported lost/stolen credit card. My stomach's beginning to churn already.

Have a good one, Girls!!
